General FAQs and Policies

The most important rule is to have fun! That said, we do have a few policies to follow.

Partial Admissions

We do not sell one-day badges. Badges are sold as one price and valid for any/all days of the convention. We work to keep prices on badges very accessible so that if you aren’t able to attend one day, it’s not an overwhelming financial loss. See more under Badges FAQs and Policies page

Door Prizes

Door prizes are drawn daily at Geekway. In order to be entered for a chance to win a door prize, you will take the bottom portion of your badge, and tear off at the perforations. That piece, which we call a “Geeklet,” will go into the large gold drum located at the Geekway vendor booth in the vendor hall.

If you win a door prize, you are not eligible for more door prizes during that convention. If you do not win, your Geeklet remains in the drum and you are eligible to win door prizes any of the remaining days. It is better to get your Geeklet in early so that you have more chances to win! By the way, any pre-purchased merch is listed on the reverse of your Geeklet so make sure to pick up your merch BEFORE you drop your Geeklet into the drum.

Children

As with all attendees, our goal is that children and their parents have fun while respecting the enjoyment of others. See more details under the Children FAQs and Policies page.

Harassment 

Don’t harass the other guests. If you’re being harassed by a guest, please let us know immediately and we will handle it. See our full harassment policy on the Harassment FAQs and Policies page.

Food, Drinks, and Alcohol

Outside food, drink, and alcohol may be restricted based on the policies of the venue. 

Sportsmanship

Don’t be a jerk.

Payment

All badges must be purchased through our online system using a credit/debit card. We don’t take cash or checks.

Refunds

You can receive a full refund by requesting one through the registration platform (Eventbrite or Tabletop Events). Refunds are available until the badge file is sent to the printer. Refund deadlines will be specified in your registration emails.

Badges

No swapping/lending of badges is allowed. Badges should be worn prominently at all times. If you need to transfer a badge, please see the Badge FAQs and Policies page

Lost Items/Theft

Geekway LLC is not responsible for any lost or stolen property.

Smoking/Vaping

In accordance with venue policy and local laws, there is no smoking or vaping indoors.
