A Brief History of Geekway

Geekway to the West and Geekway LLC is an organization headquartered in St. Louis, Mo. that operates board game conventions in the greater St. Louis area.

It started as an informal gathering in one of the founder’s basements in 2005, and grew from there. See full history of locations and attendee totals. 

We currently welcome over 3000 individual attendees to our main convention, Geekway Prime, at St. Charles Convention Center, which also includes a variety of vendors, game demos, other activities, and our signature event, Play and Win, where attendees can play games to have a chance to win the game at the end of the convention.

Additionally, Geekway also hosts smaller events — Geekway Mini once a year, and several Geekway Micros throughout the year.
