Prime Activities

We offer a wide range of activities each year.

For a full list of scheduled activities, times, and to sign up, visit Tabletop Events once the activities are live. This is usually in March. For Geekway Prime 2026, tickets for activities will go on sale on March 20, 2026, at 8 AM CT.

Click "Attend" and then "Event Schedule" in the top menu to explore the event listing (once it's loaded).

You need to have purchased your badge in order to secure a ticket for scheduled activities.

All of the activities described on this page usually happen every year at Geekway Prime.

These are some of our biggest and most popular:

Demo Zone

We work with ⇢ Envoy to bring demos of games from a wide variety of publishers to Geekway! You can sign up for these individual activities in Tabletop Events once tickets are on sale for Geekway.

Play and Win

Play and Win is pretty simple in concept. There is a lineup of games which can be checked out and played. For each play, you get a chance to win the game. Toward the end of the convention we run a drawing (computerized) and every one of the Play and Win games are given away. Details and how-to info here.

Playtest and Win

Do you have a completed prototype and would like people to be able to check the game out and play it even if you are not at Geekway? Consider entering your game in Playtest and Win, our signature event allowing designers to get real world feedback for their completed game designs. Find more information about this event (for both designers and players) here!

Prototype Row

Are you an amateur board game designer and would like to have people try it out with you at Geekway? Consider signing up for Prototype Row! This free but limited event will reserve you one table at Geekway Prime for demoing your prototype. Prototype Row will be advertised to all attendees, and folks can stop by and check out your prototypes.

Vendor Halls

This is your chance to browse and buy games, gear, gifts and more from a variety of vendors. The Vendor Hall page has details, and will be updated as vendors are confirmed.

Other Activities

Complete List of Activities

In addition to the activities listed above, we may also offer other activities. For a full list of scheduled activities, times, and to sign up, visit Tabletop Events once the activities are live in March.

What about attendee-sponsored events?

At Geekway, we no longer have attendee-sponsored events. If you have a game you’d like to run at Geekway, please consider using the Meeple Meet app to find players. There are large tables available in the main gaming area and at the hotel (on the third floor) that can accommodate games that require extra space – these are first come, first serve. If you are a publisher and would like to run a demo booth or event, please get in touch with us at geekway@geekway.com.
